UNEP has established a Virtual Resource Centre on Green Accounting on its website at http//www.unep.ch/etb/areas/VRC_index.php.  The Centre provides a searchable database for a wide range of materials and internet links related to integrated environmental and economic accounting, also known as green accounting. It supports the objectives and programme of work of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Environmental-Economic Accounting.

The database offers its users a compilation of key documents from governments, academic institutions, international organizations, non-governmental organisations and individuals on selected topics relating to green accounting, environmental statistics and indicators. It is organised into five categories: Frameworks, Research Resources, Case Studies, Other Materials, and Related Links. A summary of each document and, where possible, a link to its full text is provided (the text  can be downloaded free of charge).
