The Honourable Maxime Bernier, Canada's Minister of Foreign Affairs, has announced the appointment of Frieda Granot to IDRC’s Board of Governors.
Prof. Granot is currently Senior Associate Dean, Strategic Development and External Relations at the University of British Columbia (UBC), where she also holds the Advisory Council Chair in Management Science at the University’s Sauder School of Business. She has held a wide range of administrative and academic appointments at UBC, including Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Prof. Granot received her BSc in Mathematics and her MSc in Computer Science from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, and an interdisciplinary PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science and Business Administration from the University of Texas.
