IDRC began supporting research in Venezuela more than 30 years ago. Much of the activity supported occurred in the 1980s. The quality and effectiveness of education, from primary to post-secondary training, were key issues in that decade, as were business and scientific development. Today, IDRC facilitates the participation of Venezuelan researchers and policy-makers in regional and global networks. The country is part of the IDRC-supported Network of E-Government Leaders in Latin America and the Caribbean (Red GEALC). To read the full text:
