Acacia’s programing is divided into three general themes representing the broad lenses through which Acacia is looking at ICTs for development in Africa. Each theme has a number of target research networks that represent areas of particular emphasis where we believe Acacia has a competitive advantage. This advantage exists either through present investments in research and research networks or through having identified areas in which more research is clearly in demand but little or none is being undertaken.

Acacia’s four objectives cut across all three research themes, and represent the expected measurable results of the next five years.
