Anticipated outcomes of the ICT4D project in the Middle East

The ICT4D corporate project in the Middle East would like to obtain the following outcomes:

• A better understanding of the role of ICT in the social and economic development of the Middle East
  
  
• A better understanding of the development issues in the region, particularly with regards to the four thematic areas of focus
  
  
• A network and a community of researchers working together on ICT4D related issues in the five countries
  
  
• Identify decision makers and practitioners of ICT4D in the region and develop good collaboration
  
  
• Ultimately, the project should inform IDRC decision to create a regular program on ICT4D in Middle East under ICT4D program area. Such a project can be or not integrated to one of existing Program Initiatives.
