Canadian collaboration

IDRC actively engages with Canada's development research community to examine global issues and to help build healthier, more equitable, and more prosperous societies. We do so primarliy through the following programs:

Canadian Partnerships Program
Supports Canadian universities and organizations, such as professional associations and non-governmental organizations, that undertake research on global development issues.

Training and Awards Program
Provides opportunities for the next generation of researchers from Canada and the developing world to pursue international development research.

IDRC Research Partnerships Challenge Fund
Supports the growing interest in North–South research partnerships for development.

Global Health Research Initiative (GHRI)
Promotes Canada-South collaborations to strengthen health systems and build global health research capacity.
