Abstract
The Framework Convention Alliance (FCA) is holding a regional strategic planning meeting in Abuja, Nigeria, 2-5 September 2008. The purpose of the meeting is to prepare civil society organizations active in the World Health Organization's Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO FCTC) for the third Conference of the Parties (COP3) in South Africa, and devise a coordinated approach to tobacco control in the region. This grant will support the participation of 10 researchers/advocates from IDRC's Research for International Tobacco Control (RITC) project, African Tobacco Situation Analyses (104907) in the meeting.
