Abstract
IDRC has supported two projects with the objective of facilitating free circulation of legal information in three West African countries, namely, Burkina Faso, Sénégal and Niger (102543 et 103134). Although several researchers maintain that the free circulation of legal information makes for a better legal system, the evidence remains anecdotal. This grant will support a methodological workshop to be held in Ouagadougou, 10-11 July 2007, with a view to elaborating a proposal for a project to evaluate the impact of free circulation of legal information on the competence of lawyers.
