Abstract
The third session on bioethics in West and Central Africa will take place in Lomé, Togo, 6-8 December 2007. The theme of the session is, Evaluation and Management of Risks in Africa : Ethics, Health and Environment. The objective of the third session is to contribute to the appropriation of the principles and procedures of bioethics, particularly those relative to biotechnology and biomedical research in a context of globalization of biomedical advances and their associated technologies. The event will also provide an occasion for the constitutive general assembly of a forum aimed at establishing a continuous program of activities pertaining to bioethics.
