Abstract
The International Colloquium on Women's Empowerment and Leadership will be convened by Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, President of Liberia, and Tarja Halonen, President of Finland, in Monrovia, Liberia, early in 2009.This grant will allow Femmes Africa Solidarité (FAS) and Search for Common Ground (SFCG), through its Leadership Wisdom Initiative (LWI), to implement the second phase of preparation for the event, a series of workshops and training activities aimed at helping elevate more African women into leadership positions throughout government and society as a whole.
