Abstract
The Centre de recherches sur les politiques sociales (CREPOS - centre for social policy research) is an autonomous research organization with a mission to contribute to the production and renewal of knowledge on Sénégal and West Africa. Given the increasing difficulty for researchers to publish their work, CREPOS encourages the publication of young researchers' theses by selecting the most worthy and collaborating with reputable publishing houses in order to ensure greater dissemination. The first phase of the project (104214) supported the publication of two theses. One of them received the 2007 Christian Doré prize in France. Some 15 doctoral candidates benefited from the training seminars. This grant will consolidate these gains by allowing CREPOS to decentralize its seminars for the benefit of doctoral candidates at the Université Gaston Berger de Saint-Louis and to select theses supported by the university for publication.
