IDRC’s Regional Office in Singapore with the collaboration of the Cambodian CBNRM Learning Institute and the Cambodia Development Resource Institute organized a two-day “Cambodia All-Partners Forum” in Phnom Penh, September 12-13, 2007.

 

Ellie Osir, ITS Senior Program Officer participated in the Forum in which current and past IDRC’s partners learned more about each other and about the work IDRC has developed through the years in the country. The meeting provided the space to identify gaps in research support and to highlight new areas of work that require attention.

 

Cambodia is at a very unique moment in its history with the first relatively peaceful period in many years and heading to national elections in 2008. For IDRC this is an important time to reflect on our relationship with our Cambodian partners and to consider the programmatic approach we can take to support the future of Cambodia.
