Since 1977, IDRC has supported Pakistani researchers’ efforts to address the high levels of poverty and underdevelopment. Among the contributions the Centre’s partners have made to Pakistan’s development are increased Internet access in remote areas of the North, farming options to improve soil and water conservation, and a greater capacity to analyze the impact of national economic policy on the lives of the poor.
