Q1. I have a research idea I would like to propose for funding. How do I proceed? Following an initial call for concept notes, the program is now supporting a wide range of research and capacity building projects on adaptation across Africa. Future openings for research proposals will focus on addressing a small number of geographic and thematic gaps. We recommend that you contact one of the CCAA program officers based in the regional office closest to the location of your proposed research. Currently, the CCAA program does not offer any internship positions. However, the IDRC does offer opportunities in other program areas that may be of interest. To build African capacity on climate change adaptation, CCAA periodically provides small grants to support meetings and conferences that support the participation of African actors.
