Bio

 

Andrés Escobar is a Research Intern with GGP based in Montevideo at IDRC’s Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean. His research interests include economic growth, development economics, policy analysis and measurement of inequality and poverty. Prior to his research internship at IDRC, he has served as an intern with the United Nations’ Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean and with the United Nations Development Programme. He holds a B.A. in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Catolica Boliviana and two Master degrees; one in Cooperation and Development from the Universitá Degli Studi Di Pavia-ELACID in Colombia, and one in Cooperation and International Economic Integration from the IUSS-Universitá Degli Studi Di Pavia in Italy. He is currently a Ph.D candidate in Economic Policy (Quantitative Models for Policy Analysis) at the Universitŕ Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, Italy.
