Malaysian Journalist Wins Science Journalism Award

Malaysia’s Shiow Chin Tan has won the second IDRC–SciDev.Net Science Journalism Award. The award promotes science communication across the developing world and provides recipients with tools and opportunities to develop their journalistic skills.

Tan will spend three months interning at the SciDev.Net office in London, England, and three months traveling and working on behalf of SciDev.Net in one or more developing countries. She also receives US$ 58 500 for living and travel expenses.
