Canadian Member of Parliament Visits IDRC’s Regional Office for Southeast and East Asia
Deepak Obhrai, Canadian Member of Parliament, and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and to the Minister of International Cooperation, visited IDRC’s Regional Office for Southeast and East Asia in Singapore on July 25.
 
Obhrai was in Singapore to attend the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Post Ministerial Conference and the ASEAN Regional Forum.

While at the IDRC office, Obhrai heard presentations on IDRC’s Pan Asia Networking program, as well as a number of IDRC-supported projects, including, the Economy and Environment Program for Southeast Asia, the Asian Partnership on Avian Influenza Research, and Informatics for Rural Empowerment and Cambodian Healthy Communities.
