Ms. Anne-Marie Legault joined IDRC in September 2001, as the Coordinator of the International Forum on Ecosystem Approaches to Human Health organized by IDRC and by a broad array of partners at the International and National levels. The event took place at l'Université du Québec à Montréal between May 18 and 23, 2003. The Forum was a multipartners effort aiming at promoting the uses of Ecosystem Approaches to Human Health as an innovative framework for the resolution of environment and health issues. Anne-Marie is a MSc in Environmental Sciences of UQAM where she worked on socio-economic and environmental impacts of the development of a new aluminum smelter in Alma, Québec. She worked in 2000-01 with the Réseau Québécois des Femmes en Environnement, where she organized events such as an annual conference and lunch seminars and participated in the publications of documents covering various aspects of the environmental sector. Her past experiences at IDRC include coordinating the Ecohealth Forum in 2003, as well as program management at the office of the vice president of Programs and Partnerships branch in 2004. Since June 2005, Anne-Marie is the Ottawa-based research officer with the Urban Poverty and Environment team (UPE).
