Almost 50 years ago, Lucille Teasdale – one of Canada’s first women surgeons – and her husband Piero Corti turned a small 30-bed hospital in Gulu, Uganda, into one of the largest and best non-profit medical centres in equatorial Africa. This exhibition highlights the contribution of an outstanding Canadian in an inspiring African success story.
Organized by the Lucille Teasdale & Piero Corti Foundation and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC).
