The African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) held its 20^th Anniversary Conference in Nairobi on September 15-17, on Natural Resource Management and Climate Change in Africa.  Over 300 participants attended the conference, including African policy makers, advisors, renowned African scholars and researchers. 

 

Discussion was based on a series of commissioned papers, which brought together a solid body of policy-relevant information on issues of urgent concern.  The conference involved three days of intense discussions on the physical, socioeconomic and global impacts of natural resource management and climate change with reference to sub-Saharan Africa.
