Dr Marie Suzanne Badji is a fellow scholar with the Department of Economics of the Faculty of Economic Science and Management, at the University Cheikh Anta Diop in Dakar, Senegal.

Dr Badji will present findings from her research on the effects of globalisation on inequalities between men and women in the WAEMU region, from the points of view of access to education, health care, income sources, and political power. This empirical research has established that gender inequalities in the region vary depending on whether the openness of capital or commercial markets is considered.

Please note that this presentation will be given in French only.
