Research on Global Economic Relations

Outcomes from previous IDRC programming on developing country strategies for international economic integration

This website groups together information about research supported by IDRC on developing countries’ strategies for international economic integration, including research project outputs and information on on-going projects. This body of research was supported by a now-closed program initiative of IDRC - Trade, Employment and Competitiveness (TEC), which operated from 1997 until March, 2006, and supported developing countries in their efforts to participate more effectively in the global economy.

The TEC program initiative has now ceased to operate as a research funding mechanism. Research that IDRC has supported in this field is being consolidated and built upon through IDRC’s new program on Globalization, Growth and Poverty (GGP), launched on April 1, 2006. For information on current funding opportunities, please visit the GGP website.

For information related to previous and on-going research projects and activities supported through the TEC program, in the area of developing countries and global economic relations, please follow the links provided below.

Documents produced by IDRC research partners are made available on this site in their original language of production, which is primarily (but not exclusively) English.
