Research Resources for IDRC Projects:

Expanding research capacity through access to the scholarly literature

Research resources and services to support IDRC-funded researchers are available through the IDRC Library.

Access to the Scholarly Literature
A collection of research databases located on the Library's web site provides access to thousands of citations to the scholarly peer-reviewed literature.

For more information on the databases available see the Research Databases page.

Contact your IDRC Program Officer to request password access to the databases.

Document Delivery
Not all citations found in the research databases include full text articles.  If articles cannot be obtained through local document providers (libraries, research institutions, etc.) contact reference@idrc.ca for assistance.  This service is also available to researchers who have difficulty downloading large files.

IDRC Project Information
Information about IDRC research activity is available through three IDRC databases:

IDRIS+:  provides summaries of past and current IDRC projects
The IDRC Digital Library (IDL): provides access to a collection of IDRC-funded research results
IMAGES:  contains the IDRC photo library

Other Links
Visit the IDRC Library web site for access to initiatives that are expanding access to the scholarly literature.

Research Literature for the South
HINARI, INASP PERI and other programs provide free or low cost access to the scholarly literature for researchers in developing countries.  Links to eligibility requirements are provided.

Open Access Publishing
These initiatives promote the dissemination of scholarly publishing through Open Access journals.
