Abstract

This grant will enable the Biological Control Centre for Africa of the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) compile information on the banana weevil, its distribution in Africa and its enemies. This will include gathering information on pest status and resistant banana clones, while identifying parasites and predators of the weevil in Asia and introducing them in Africa.
