Abstract
IDRC's Regional Office for West and Central Africa (WARO) is responsible for carrying out the Centre's mandate in the area that includes Guinée. For a number of reasons, however, IDRC has funded few projects in that country. This grant will allow a consultant to carry out an exploratory study to assess research capacity in Guinée in terms of human resources, institutional capacity and communications, with emphasis on the country's potential for managing research projects and taking part in regional networks.
