Abstract
The National Documentation and Information Centre for Rural Development in Guinea was established in 1980 and received assistance from FAO for four years. Since then, the Centre has encountered several problems, including an inappropriate building and location, and lack of funding. This project will revive the Documentation Centre and promote the development of its collection and services to users. More precisely, it will collect and safeguard documents found within the villages of the country's interior, publish a national bibliography on agricultural and rural development and the quarterly bulletin "INFORURAL", provide information services to students and researchers, and train personnel to continue these objectives.
