Abstract
This project proposes to study HIV-AIDS counselling-screening. It will study how the characteristics of health care recipients influence their acceptance of counselling-screening. The first stage of the project will involve collecting data from field workers, the population at risk and key contacts in the research area. The second stage will allow the research to be conducted in close cooperation with the research team, the health structures and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that work in the area. The purpose of the project is to contribute to the development of efficient strategies for the control and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases (STD) and HIV-AIDS in West Africa.
