Abstract
The purpose of this project is to conduct a feasibility study into setting up two pilot telecentres in Mozambique. Researchers will examine a range of feasibility criteria in the African and Mozambican context; develop a methodology on how best to select sites, plan and set up telecentres; identify potential pilot telecentre sites not too far from the national capital, Maputo; determine the two most promising sites by applying the feasibility criteria and methodological framework; and prepare a detailed proposal for establishing the two pilot centres. It is expected that the methodology will contribute to knowledge on how best to introduce telecentres and find more general application in and beyond Mozambique.
