Abstract
This grant will allow IDRC's Regional Office for Southern Africa (ROSA) to hire a consultant to assist in program and project development, monitoring and administration in Mozambique. The consultant's responsibilities will include developing long-term partnerships with local government agencies, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), universities and the private sector, as well as with international donor agencies active in the country; developing programming frameworks and action plans; reporting on changes in political and economic trends and policy developments; and interacting with ROSA staff on all issues relating to program and project development and implementation in the country. A continuous institutional presence in Mozambique is expected to benefit IDRC-supported programs and projects there.
