Canada's International Development Research Centre was one of the first development agencies to embrace information and communications technologies as a means of alleviating poverty and promoting development. The World Summit on the Information Society(WSIS) offered a great opportunity to share knowledge and experiences.

Some of IDRC's high points at WSIS are available on the Web. These include interviews with participants representing governments, civil society, and the private sector, as well as users of ICTs. The interviews reveal if and how ICTs have had an impact on their work and lives.
