Coping with Climate Variability and Change: Strengthening Community Adaptation through Research 2005-11 IDRC's responses to climate variability and change. IDRC's Support for AIDS Research 2006-07 Recognizing the importance of HIV/AIDS as a development issue, IDRC was one of the first international donor agencies to allocate resources to research on the prevalence and means of transmission of HIV, as well as to community intervention through prevention and knowledge about its transmission.
