| How to Approach IDRC for Funding |
Two steps are required when you want to approach IDRC for project funding.
- First you must submit an "idea" for preliminary review.
- Only after the idea has been accepted for further consideration by IDRC can a grant application be submitted.
Detailed instructions on how to apply for IDRC funding, as well as the forms needed to present both ideas and full project proposals, are included here.
- Idea for a Research Grant
Your project "idea" must be accepted by IDRC before you submit a complete research proposal. Your idea should be submitted on this form, which can be downloded as either a PDF, Word, or WordPerfect file.
- Guidelines for Writing a Project Proposal
Guidelines that cover the major topics to be addressed in a project proposal submitted to IDRC. These guidelines reflect the objectives and funding criteria of all of IDRC's programs, and address general questions concerning the structure and content of a proposal.
